烟草在线据《烟业通讯》报道编译　　据《今日日报》(Mlada fronta Dnes)7月1日报道，捷克市场上最大的卷烟制造商菲利普莫里斯已经开始在捷克共和国提高卷烟价格，每盒的价格提高了8克朗（53美分）。

　　《今日日报》写到，其他的制造商很可能会效仿。虽然在1月份就开始推行烟草产品较高的税收，但是卷烟价格一直没有提高，直到现在，因为卷烟制造商们已经售完了去年的存货。随着去年每盒的价格提高7-9克朗（46-60美分），这是过去这些年来最大的一次提价，《今日日报》写道。

　　菲莫占捷克共和国出售卷烟的60%。

　　竞争对手帝国烟草公司的首席执行官Kamil Provaznik对《今日日报》说：“人们都在等待菲利普莫里斯，”他补充说，他预计其他卷烟品牌的价格也会提高。

　　Provaznik说：“我估计到9月底，提税将会反映在零售店的所有（卷烟）价格上。”

　　卷烟制造商和进口商最初预计由于较高的消费税，卷烟价格会在4月份批发商售完2007年存货时提高价格。

　　从今年年初开始，卷烟消费税从每单位1.64克朗（11美分）提高到1.92克朗（13美分）。

Czech prices go up for PM products

　　Philip Morris, the biggest cigarette producer on the Czech market, has kicked off a cigarette price hike in the Czech Republic, raising its prices by Kc8 (53 cents USD) per pack, the daily Mlada fronta Dnes (MfD) wrote Tuesday.

　　Other producers are likely to follow, MfD writes. Even though higher taxes on tobacco products were introduced in January, cigarette prices have not risen until now as producers have been selling out last year's stocks so far. Along with last year's price hike by Kc7-9 (46-60 cents USD) a pack, this is the biggest price increase over the past years, MfD writes.

　　Philip Morris sells six in ten cigarettes in the Czech Republic.

　　"Everybody has waited for Philip Morris," Kamil Provaznik, executive of the rival Imperial Tobacco, told MfD, adding that he expected the prices of other cigarette brands to go up as well.

　　"I expect the taxes to reflect in all (cigarette) prices in retail shops by end-September," Provaznik said.

　　Cigarette producers and importers originally forecast the prices would rise due to the higher excise duty in April when wholesalers were expected to run out of 2007 stocks.

　　The excise duty on cigarettes rose from Kc1.64 (11 cents USD) to the current Kc1.92 (13 cents USD) a unit as of the beginning of this year.
